Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone has been doing their bit to ensure the safety of themselves and those around them. Acts of kindness are appreciated more than ever before as keyworkers stand at the frontline and those most at risk are cared for.
Green Steps Society strives to help protect our world’s environment and inhabitants, and in recent months we have taken positive steps to help fight the virus.
Wearing protective masks and using sanitiser has become essential in this country, but it is not easy for everyone to access this equipment. Green Steps Society has therefore been donating thousands of free masks and hand sanitiser to key workers, communities, public bodies and other beneficiary groups across the North West.
Some of those we’ve helped have included Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Age UK, Care Network and various mosques and schools. With this equipment, more people can continue to take the necessary precautions during this uncertain time, hopefully with less anxiety about personal safety.
These are unprecedented times, but they are creating a valuable opportunity to show each other kindness, compassion and support.
